EUBANK IS IN GROOVE FOR GROVES

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

CHRIS EUBANK warned George Groves he is next after knocking out Avni Yildirim in the World Boxing Super Series.

Eubank stopped Yildirim in three rounds in Stuttgart to set up a possible semi-final with Groves in the supermiddleweight tournament.

Groves defends his WBA crown against Jamie Cox on Saturday.

“I’m here to dominate this tournament,” said Eubank (above). “I’m sending a message out there that I’m coming.

“George Groves, get through your next fight so we can give the boxing fans what they want to see.

“I think it’s going to be exactly the same as what we saw tonight. I’m not playing any more.”

Eubank battered Yildirim, forcing him on to one knee in the first round before finishing off the Turk with a left hook in the third.

Eubank said: “He was a strong come-forward fighter, but the experience was not there for him.”
