It’s all porkies.. I’m not a chauvinist pig
Lad denies love rat prank as mum rages
A LAD accused of stringing along a British girl in a cruel “pull a pig” stunt has denied it after being swamped with messages branding him a swine.
Jesse Mateman, 21, has faced a huge backlash back home in the Netherlands after 24-year-old Sophie Stevenson claimed he pranked her.
She said they met on holiday in Barcelona in August and seemed to bond as the Spanish city was hit by a devastating terror attack.
When bar supervisor Sophie returned home to the UK, she said Jesse called every day and she agreed to visit him in Amsterdam.
He even called to send his love as she boarded a plane to the Netherlands. But once there she claims he sent her a text saying: “You’ve been pigged. It was all a joke.”
“Pull a pig” is a sick stunt in which men compete to chat up the “fat ugly girl”.
Sophie’s mum Julie, from Stoke, said her daughter was devastated after allegedly being targeted. She raged: “It’s a good job he lives in Holland because if he was here I’d string him up.”
Sophie’s dad Andrew, 53, added: “She’s a beautiful girl. How dare that b ***** d do this?”
Jesse, believed to be from the southern town of Doetinchem, claimed his parents and sister had been threatened amid outrage over the story, which he insisted had been “invented”.
He added: “I do not know that whole game. I’m just being broken here. It’s a witch-hunt. I did not send those messages.”
