BBC1, 9pm Lord Sugar’s latest rabble of morons, sorry I mean candidates, are woken early this week, which allows for the obligatory shots of pants and bed hair.
Finally dressed and groomed, they are summoned to five star hotel Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire where Lord Sugar reveals they will be working as interior designers – making over a bedroom and pitching their design.
Seems a little bit mean. Surely this is not so much a test of business acumen, but of their knack for colour schemes and matching scatter cushions?
Unsurprisingly, a resounding silence ensues at the team meetings. “I’ve been in a lot of hotel rooms,” offers Siobhan. While Ross moans: “I don’t do five star hotels, I do Travelodges.” Meanwhile, team leader for the girls, Bushra, insists: “It’s really important to stay trend driven.” Right, yes exactly. So suddenly this is all a little bit like an episode of W1A. Yeah, cool. Exactly.
