STOKE could be without Joe Allen at Manchester City on Saturday after he suffered suspected concussion for Wales.
Midfielder Allen was replaced in the 37th minute of Wales’s 1-0 home defeat by the Republic Of Ireland on Monday that killed off their World Cup dream.
The FA and Premier League have clear ‘return to play’ guidelines for players who are suspected to have suffered concussion. No player is allowed to return for a competitive game for at least six days, which would sideline Allen if doctors rule that concussion was indeed the problem.
