SAFE Keith, Dylan & Nicole THE drone believed to have killed Sally Jones was flown by a pilot more than 7,000 miles away in the US desert.

Pilots at Creech Air Force Base in Indiana Springs, Nevada, push the buttons on the most sophistica­ted technology to seal the fate of enemy targets.

The base less than 50 miles from Las Vegas has become the hub for remotely piloted aircrafts used to fight terror.

Establishe­d in 1942 as a military training camp, it was renamed in 2005 in honour of the late General Wilbur Creech.
