MY SON IS A TEENAGE STRIPPER

-

Dear Coleen

My 17-year-old son is in his last year at school, so a lot of his friends are turning 18. He and a group of his mates have started making a bit of extra cash by stripping at girls’ birthday parties.

Of course, their act gets filmed on mobile phones and passed around.

I have seen the videos and I can confirm that everything gets taken off and everything underneath gets shaken about.

My husband finds the whole thing hilarious, but I am very concerned about this. The girls have often had a lot to drink and who knows where this could all end up?

What do you think?

Coleen says I hope you’ve had a conversation with your son about boundaries and explained to him the potential consequences when alcohol is involved. Look, I understand your worries, but at least he’s being open about doing it and it sounds as if he’s treating it as a big laugh while earning extra cash at the same time.

I guess what you should warn him about is that he might feel differently about it later on in life when all these films are online and he wants to be taken seriously at work or his girlfriend doesn’t find it funny at all.

Is this what he wants to be known for? There are other ways to earn a bit of cash that won’t come back to haunt him in five years’ time!

And suggest that he and his friends insist they are not filmed as part of the deal at any party.
