MOYES WILL PICK UP A SCOTS CALL

-

DAVID MOYES last night confirmed that he is ready to talk to the SFA about the Scotland job.

The former Manchester United boss (above) has indicated he would not turn down the Scotland post – but his first choice is to return to club management.

Scotland are searching for a new boss following Gordon Strachan’s departure on Thursday, with SFA performance director Malky Mackay put in interim charge. Moyes has not managed since leaving Sunderland after their relegation from the Premier League in May.

“I don’t think anyone ever turns down their national team opportunity, but I think it has to be at the right time,” the Scot, 54, told BBC Radio 5 live.

“My first choice would be to go back into club management, but if Scotland want to talk I’d be happy to speak to them see what they’ve got to say.” WEST HAM could be ready to sell teenage centre-half Reece Oxford in January.

Boss Slaven Bilic told Oxford, 18, not to start believing he is on a par with France superstar Kylian Mbappe after both were nominated for the Golden Boy award.

Oxford (below) is on loan at Borussia Moenchengladbach – but the remarks could leave him fearing for his West Ham future.
