NUNO HAS NONE BUT THE BRAVE

- BY JAMES NURSEY

WOLVES boss Nuno Espirito Santo insists his side have wised-up to withstand potential bullying ahead of facing Aston Villa.

Wanderers’ are flying high in the Championship under Nuno, who has introduced an attractive passing game since taking charge this summer.

They have only lost once at home, going down 2-1 to Cardiff when Neil Warnock’s streetwise Bluebirds out-muscled them. But Nuno (above) says his side have learned lessons since that August setback and will be ready for Steve Bruce’s Villa.

The Portuguese boss said: “Villa are an experienced squad. We have carefully analysed them and passed this information to the players. We have a meeting on Saturday and we prepare them from minute one to be ready to play. And I can tell you we are ready.

“After the Cardiff match we moved on to the next game.

“We knew what happened and we tried to find new solutions. I have new solutions for it.

“When we finish each game, we analyse it, we take out the aspects we want to work on, which mistakes we made, whether it is individual or team mistakes.

“And you work on that, that is what makes you grow.

“But you must never lose the aspects you have been working on since day one, always stick with your ideas and style of play.”

Bruce (above) marks a year at Villa with a win ratio of 44 per cent, which is better than any of the club’s previous 13 managers.

Bruce, whose side finished 13th last term, insisted: “We’re on the right tracks. It’s far better than 12 months ago.”
