OWEN’S TREBLE CHANCE

-

OWEN FARRELL has been passed fit to spearhead SARACENS’ tilt at a hat-trick of Champions Cup crowns.

The reigning European player of the year (right) missed last week’s win over Wasps with a calf strain which troubled him in the warm-up.

But he has shaken it off and plays at fly-half tomorrow against NORTHAMPTON for a Sarries side looking to extend their tournament record 18-match unbeaten run into a third season. Saints make three changes to the side beaten at Gloucester, recalling fly-half Stephen Myler, wing Ben Foden and in-form lock Courtney Lawes. The highlyanticipated fly-half clash between Johnny Sexton and Aaron Cruden is off after injury ruled the Ireland and All Blacks 10s out of today’s LEINSTER-MONTPELLIER clash in Dublin.

Jack Nowell misses arguably the match of the weekend between English champions EXETER and unbeaten Pro14 leaders GLASGOW after undergoing surgery on a fractured cheekbone.

Phil Dollman is recalled at full-back while No.8 Thomas Waldrom and winger James Short return to the squad for the first time since breaking bones in a pre-season friendly encounter.
