Wilkins is on mend after his heart op
FOOTBALL legend Ray Wilkins yesterday revealed he has had the all-clear after undergoing double heart bypass surgery.
The former England midfielder had the operation in July at a London hospital.
He was spotted leaving Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey, where he said: “Everything is fine now. I’m getting stronger by the day.
“I’m up and about and walking, feeling a lot healthier. Full recovery is expected to be between six to nine months.”
The 61-year-old, who played for Chelsea and Manchester United, found he had blocked coronary arteries after going to hospital for a hayfever jab and doctors noticed his blood pressure was high.
