Bizarre badger claim by UKIP’s Bolton
UKIP’S new leader has said he could capture a badger and kill it with his bare hands.
Henry Bolton OBE made the claim in a bizarre interview with TV station Russia Today.
Bolton, who became UKIP’s fourth leader last month, was asked by RT’s Sam Delaney about initiation ceremonies for new UKIP heads and given options to choose from.
When asked if he had to “hunt a tuberculosis badger across Dartmoor before eventually capturing it and killing it with your bare hands?” the ex-soldier replied that he “could probably do that but it’s not part of the initiation into being a leader of UKIP”.
He was also asked if he had to “eat an entire English cross of St George flag?” or to “arm wrestle former England captain Terry Butcher and win” before claiming the top job.
