40 killed by wildfires

FLAMES burn fiercely in trees behind a winery in wildfires that have killed at least 40 people.

Blazes spread by powerful winds have devastated northern California, including the Ledson Winery in Santa Rosa, where 3,000 were evacuated at the weekend. Hundreds of people are still missing and thousands of homes have been destroyed, including entire townships.
