Where Brits have a very randy Tyne

- BY DAVID JARVIS

COUPLES from the North East have most lovers, an average of 10 partners over their lives, a survey found.

Those in Wales were second with nine each, just beating Northern Ireland.

Bottom were folk in the East Midlands where they averaged 6.8 partners.

Some 2,000 men and women in 12 regions were quizzed for International Andrology, a clinic for men’s reproductive health.

It said couples were often influenced by behaviour on reality TV shows like Love Island.

A spokesman added: “We identify with winners and some shows are fuelled by the notion that the most attractive man who is able to couple with a partner will win.

“This crosses over into our real world.”
