POWERFUL Freedom is a poignant legacy

GEORGE Michael put the finishing touches to this documentary just a couple of days before his death last Christmas Day.

ITV, 9pm That moment when sinister rapist Andrew Earlham (Ioan Gruffudd) broke free of the rope and snarled, “Don’t run” has got to go down as one of the most heart-stopping of all time.

Fortunately, Vanessa (Shelley Conn) arrived just in time to save Laura (Joanne Froggatt), and the pair vowed to find proof. But Andrew sauntered off, casually saying, “No you won’t”, as we all screamed at our TVs.

Now we have a million questions. Will anyone discover Andrew’s shed of shame? What lengths will Laura go to now? Will Liam and Katy get back together?

And with a second series in the works, will this one be all tied up (no pun intended)?

As the episode begins, Andrew is shaken and terrified of arrest, so enlists Luke’s help as an alibi. Meanwhile, Laura won’t give up easily.

This series has got better and better, and you can expect more twists and a finale which won’t disappoint.
