RED-CARD CARROLL HAMMERED WITH £180,000 FINE

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

ANDY CARROLL will be hit with a £180,000 fine by West Ham for his red-card madness in the draw against Burnley. Slaven Bilic was furious with Carroll (left) for stupidly being sent off at Turf Moor, for two bookings inside two minutes. Bilic will clobber the striker with a two-week fine, even though it was his

first red card since February 2014.

Carroll smashed into Ben Mee with his forearm, just minutes after being booked for catching James Tarkowski with his elbow.

“For a player of Andy’s experience, basically you can’t do that,” fumed Hammers boss Bilic. “It was a big blow for us. I’m very disappointed and angry.

“The first one can happen, but the second one... you can’t do that a couple of minutes later, especially away from home.

“You don’t go for that ball normally because it’s out of reach. It was just an unbelievably bad decision.”
