HATT-TRICK HERO
TYRRELL HATTON added the Italian Open title to last week’s defence of the Dunhill Links Championship.
The Englishman (right) claimed back-toback wins with a finalround 65 in Monza when he holed a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th to edge past clubhouse leaders Ross Fisher and Kiradech Aphibarnrat for 21 under par. He birdied five of the last seven holes then revealed caddie Jonathan Bell’s advice was key. Hatton said: “I needed a low score and the front nine was pretty slow so I didn’t have momentum. “I was trying to stay patient and JB was saying, ‘Good things will come’. I guess I got my reward.”
