After all, the latest something-for-nothing Duke of Westminster inherited the bulk of his father’s £8.3billion fortune without paying a penny in death duties on much of it.
With the International Monetary Fund, a patron of global capitalism, arguing for higher taxes on the super-rich this is surely a moment to shake the loaded upside down by their ankles and collect what is reasonably owed.
We could do a lot of good with, say, £100billion.
