LABOUR with only one seat – Peterborough – in 14 English post-war Midlands and Southern new towns is an electoral challenge after it won all except Bracknell in 1997.

I was reading Labour housing bod John Healey’s thoughtful analysis of ending the party’s southern discomfort while listening to Jeremy Corbyn saying Labour is ready to rule.

I’d love to see a PM Corbyn but unless these folk can be wooed back I fear it’ll never happen.
