- BY STEPHEN WHITE

A DAD involved in a custody fight said that living “down south” would be better for his children than being in Lancashire, a family court heard.

DAVID Walliams proudly shows off his OBE yesterday as he revealed he would like to become the oldest person to swim the English Channel.

The actor and writer, 46, who raised millions for charity with his longdistance swimming, said: “I’d quite like to have a go at the Channel at 70.”

He was honoured by Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace yesterday for his services to charity and the arts.

He swam the English Channel in 2006 for charity and the Strait of Gibraltar in 2008.

In 2011, he raised £2million for Sport Relief by swimming 140 miles down the River Thames. THUMBS UP Walliams chats with Princess Anne
