A-list Lawrence shames female film boss
JENNIFER Lawrence was made to do a “nude line-up” and told to lose weight by a female film producer, she told an awards ceremony audience.
The Oscar-winning actress said it was “degrading and humiliating” but then a male executive told her she was “perfectly f***able.”
Talking at the Elle Women In Hollywood Awards about the Harvey Weinstein scandal, the A-list star said she found the sexual harassment and rape claims against the movie producer “harrowing”.
Without identifying the movie or executives involved, she said she was told to “lose 15lb” in 14 days when she was “starting out” .
Lawrence, now 27, said: “A girl had already been fired for not losing enough weight. And a female producer had me do a nude line-up with five women much thinner than me. And we all stood side by side with just paste-ons covering our privates. “Then the female producer said I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.” After telling another executive about the remarks, she said: “He thought I was perfectly ‘f***able’.” She said she was too focused on her career to be a whistleblower. It was only after starring in the Hunger Games films she felt she had “the power to say no”. Game of Thrones star Lena Headey, 44, has become the latest actress to accuse Weinstein of making advances to her. The mogul denies claims in a magazine that he raped three women.
