BAYERN BOSS: BHOYS COULD SPRING A SURPRISE

- FROM MICHAEL GANNON in Munich

BAYERN MUNICH boss Jupp Heynckes has warned his superstars it would be fatal to write off Celtic tonight.

The veteran coach – who is back for a fourth spell in charge of Bayern after Carlo Ancelotti’s sacking – reckons Brendan Rodgers’ side are in with a chance of getting out of Group B.

Heynckes (left) was impressed with the Bhoys in their Champions League clashes with Borussia Monchengladbach and Manchester City last season, and said: “Celtic are a very competitive, experienced team with a great coach, who was at Liverpool.

“I would never make the mistake of underestimating them – they have a great history in Europe and are a physical, aggressive side. Last season, they drew twice against City and Monchengladbach. That tells you everything you need to know.”
