BRAVE Katie Piper has revealed that she is now speaking to her “inquisitive” daughter about her scars.

The former model, 33, said Belle wanted to know about the injuries from her 2008 acid attack and how they make her feel. And Katie, who is expecting her second child, said her threeyear-old sees the scars “as just another part of her mum”. She said: “There are times she’ll ask, ‘Have you hurt yourself there, what happened? Are you OK?’ I think she worries I’m in pain. “I won’t lie. I just say, ‘It did hurt years and years ago when I first hurt myself but it’s better now’.” Katie added: “If Belle sees a beautiful woman on a billboard, she’s convinced it’s her mummy. I’m like, ‘That’s Claudia Schiffer!’ but I’ll take that.” Ex Danny Lynch hired a thug to throw sulphuric acid in Katie’s face. It blinded her in one eye and went down her throat, and she has endured some 300 ops to date. But Katie says she has strong support from her family and hubby Richard, who she wed in 2015. Her baby is due at Christmas and with Belle she had a caesarean to avoid straining her scars. Talking to Happiful magazine, she added: “It gets painful where the scar tissue is. But there are people who can’t get pregnant because of their condition, so you have to look at the glass half-full.” Katie is on tour in spring 2018 with debut live show What’s in My Head.
