HE’S IT WITH THE HAMMERS

Wilshere: Deeney’s ‘cojones’ jibe was horrible to hear, but we’ve got character

JACK WILSHERE has leapt to the defence of his under-fire Arsenal team-mates, insisting: “Nobody can question our character.”

ADRIAN wants to quit West Ham to save his World Cup dream. The Spanish goalkeeper is now second choice, following Joe Hart’s arrival on a season’s loan from Manchester City. Boss Slaven Bilic insists Hart will be his No.1 and Adrian, who signed a new two-year deal in the summer, will have to remain his understudy. But Adrian (left) aims to move in January to boost his chances of playing in the World Cup next year. He said: “The market reopens in January and an agreement must be reached. I am not happy with this situation. When you are not playing, the chance to play for the national team also disappears. I just want to play.”
