Petersburg’s racist threat

ENGLAND fans basing themselves in St Petersburg near the national team’s HQ could face racist attacks by Russian soccer thugs.

A Zenit St Petersburg fan group called on club owners not to sign black players and members have been seen in Ku Klux Klan hoods and giving Nazi salutes.

Our Foreign Office advice warns: “People of Asian or Afro-Caribbean descent may attract some unwanted attention in public places.”
