But the world No.9, from Essex, was seething over 23-year-old Vafaei’s table etiquette.

Bingham, 41, raged: “Every time I was down on a shot and he was in my eye-line, he was moving. I’ve never been asked to sit down while someone has been taking a shot, but he was so irritating.”

Vafaei hit back, saying: “I always respect other players. Stuart was in my way when I was trying to play a shot, that is why I told him to sit down.”
