LOMAX FIT FOR STARTERS
LEWIS HAMILTON was a Rocket Man this week, tomorrow he can move into a different orbit.
WAYNE BENNETT confirmed Jonny Lomax is expected to be available for Friday’s World Cup opener against Australia after sitting out this one-sided warm-up in Perth.
St Helens full-back Lomax was the only member of England’s 24-man squad not to have a run-out against a parttime representative side.
But coach Bennett, who picked Lomax in each of last year’s Four Nations matches, said: “We think he’ll be alright.
“He had a hamstring problem but we’re pretty confident he’ll be okay for next weekend.”
