SOUTHAMPTON boss Mauricio Pellegrino has leapt to the defence of under-fire keeper Fraser Forster. England keeper Forster was pilloried by fans and TV pundits after a blundering display in last weekend’s 2-2 draw at home to Newcastle. But Pellegrino (right) said ahead of tonight’s St Mary’s clash with West Brom: “The goalkeeper needs confidence. “Three or four games ago everybody was saying he was one of the best goalkeepers in England “A goalkeeper is always exposed. You know that when you make a couple of mistakes everybody will talk about them. “The important thing is how you react.”
