CITY SICK OVER AYLING

BRISTOL CITY boss Lee Johnson fears Luke Ayling will return to haunt him after realising he blundered by selling the defender to Leeds.

Ayling (left) played 80 league games for City before switching to Elland Road last season.

Johnson said: “At the time we thought it was the right decision but we’ve been judged and found wanting from a few on that one.

“But there are circumstances that go into a sale.

“At the time we needed to balance out financial fair play and it allowed us to bring in Tammy Abraham on season loan.

“Luke went with our best wishes and he’ll get a very warm reception.”
