MONK: WE’RE STILL UP FOR THE FIGHT

GARRY MONK has insisted Boro are still in the promotion hunt.

The Teessiders have slipped out of the play-off places and face a tough test against Cardiff today.

Monk (right) admits his side need to click into top gear and said: “We are in there fighting, we know that. But we need improvements and we know that too.

“We have shown good bits. We have had patches of being fluent offensively and created chances. We need to be more clinical.

“In defence we’ve made errors and need to improve. But we’ve got a good attitude in the group and there are lots of points to fight for.”
