ASTON VILLA v FULHAM
Championship: Villa Park, 3pm
STEVE BRUCE says Aston Villa skipper John Terry is such a leader it is inevitable he will leave a “gaping hole” at Chelsea. Terry, 36, left Stamford Bridge in the summer on a free transfer – 19 years after making his debut. Terry (left) has been an everpresent in the league for Villa and Bruce says his influence cannot be underestimated. “It’s not just his playing,” said Bruce, whose team face Fulham today. “It’s the way he is as captain. Sometimes you are born to be a captain. “Even if wasn’t playing at Chelsea he still contributed. Chelsea will find a gaping hole because he has gone, I’m sure of that.”
