TRACK ACE ISAAC LIGHTNING VASS
STEVE COTTERILL reckons ex-athlete and “unbelievable specimen” Isaac Vassell can get Blues back on track.
Striker Vassell impressed last week in Cotterill’s first game since becoming boss as Birmingham vaulted out of the bottom three with a win over Cardiff.
The summer signing from Luton was a track-and-field star in his youth and claims to have run the 100metres in under 11 seconds.
Cotterill said of the cousin of former England striker Darius Vassell: “He is an unbelievable specimen with a fantastic physique. For sure he can run.
“When you can run you make things happen. He is in that bracket.”
