RONALD KOEMAN came out fighting last night, saying: I’m still the man.

The 54-year-old said: “I hate to lose, but I’m still the man and we will fight for everything to turn things around. “I have daily, weekly contact with the board at the club. “Everybody is a little bit worried, of course, but that’s normal. The pressure is on the manager. I watch TV and sometimes I am on social media. I know what’s going around and that’s normal. That’s football.

“I don’t take a step back, I go forward and let’s hope for three points against Arsenal on Sunday and then everybody will be more happy than they are today.”

Former Southampto­n manager Koeman admits he is suffering because of Everton’s awful run of just two wins from 12 games – but insists he can handle the pressure.

He added: “It’s normal that it has an impact if the team are not doing well and not getting wins, then it always comes in the direction of the manager.

“But if you don’t like it, then take another job.”
