‘We need to kill all British IS converts’
BRITS who go to fight for Islamic State must be wiped out, a Tory minister said yesterday.
Hundreds have travelled to Syria to fight in the sixyear conflict.
Speaking after US envoy Brett McGurk said his mission was to ensure every foreign IS fighter in Syria dies in Syria, Rory Stewart said he agreed.
The International Development Minister was asked about Mr McGurk’s comments on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Pienaar’s Politics.
He said there were “very difficult moral issues”, but added: “I’m afraid we have to be serious... these people are a serious danger to us, and unfortunately the only way of dealing with them will be, in almost every case, to kill them.”
