Sordid texts of ‘chute kill bid’ husband

- BY BIANCO CASTRO

AN Army sergeant sent his lover sordid texts the day after allegedly causing his wife to plunge 4,000ft by tampering with her parachute, a court heard.

Victoria Cilliers was awaiting surgery as husband Emile Cilliers, 37, told Stefanie Goller he liked “nude cleaners” and would “pay with hugs and kisses”.

Winchester crown court was shown thousands of texts between the pair.

Four months before the plunge, Cilliers said: “I will sacrifice so much for you.” A later text said: “To be with you, I would do anything.”

Victoria, 40, broke her pelvis and ribs and fractured her vertebra at Netheravon airfield, Wilts, in April 2015.

Cilliers, of the Royal Army Physical Training Corps, denies charges including attempted murder.

The trial continues.
