Mourinho laid into his side in the wake of Saturday’s abject 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield. And the United boss was said to be “aloof and cold” with his players when they trained on Sunday. Although United stars had suspected Mourinho would be annoyed
with them for their half-hearted display, the iciness of his demeanour stunned them.
There are tensions behind the scenes, with some feeling Mourinho (left) went too far in his criticism of them, followed by his subsequent brooding.
