Ferne’s baby joy on day of ‘acid attack’
FERNE McCann told her family she was pregnant just hours before her lover threw acid across a nightclub, a court has heard.
Arthur Collins, 25, told a jury yesterday he was “the happiest I have ever felt” as he learnt then girlfriend, ex-Towie star Ms McCann, 27, was expecting. They broke the news at a family party on Easter Sunday.
That night he left 16 clubbers scarred when he sprayed the acid, Wood Green crown court in North London heard.
Collins admits throwing the liquid but says he thought it was a date rape drug a group planned to use. He said: “I threw it... so they couldn’t spike any girl’s drink.” Collins of Broxbourne, Herts, faces 14 charges including GBH.
