Rory tipped to roar back

-

DUSTIN JOHNSON has backed Rory McIlroy to return and compete for the No.1 spot next season.

The Ulsterman has taken the rest of the year off to recover from a rib injury.

Johnson, who tees up at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai today, said: “Rory will be back to his best this year. He was struggling with injuries and that is always tough.”

Johnson will tee up with defending champion Hideki Matsuyama after the world No.4 revealed he will play with Present Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe next month.
