Gunn fires a warning

-

ENGLAND all-rounder Jenny Gunn is adamant all is not lost in the Women’s Ashes, despite Australia taking a four-point lead in the multi-format series.

The tourists suffered a second consecutive one-day international defeat on Thursday, losing by 75 runs on the Duckworth/Lewis method at Coffs Harbour.

That left Australia needing just four of the remaining 12 points up for grabs in the series to retain the Ashes.

But, ahead of the third ODI on Sunday, Gunn said: “We are obviously disappointed that we have lost the first two, but we are not too far away.

“They have outplayed us today. But we have not played our best cricket yet – and there is still some way to go.”
