Dyche: I’m ambitious for future
BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche denies he is in a comfort zone at Turf Moor and claims he is “ambitious”.
Dyche, 46, celebrates five years in charge of the Clarets on Monday, amid speculation linking him with the Everton job.
He revealed there has been no contact from the Toffees after they sacked Ronald Koeman on Monday.
“It’s impossible to be in a comfort zone,” Dyche said.
“Even now people say, ‘You can be here for as long as you want’. But that’s not the case at all – because people here will change their opinion very quickly if results go against you.
“Even when you are going well, nowadays you can still lose your job.
“You could argue I have made the right decisions by not going anywhere else.
“But somewhere down the line, of course, I am ambitious enough to wonder what is out there.”
Dyche says he is ignoring talk about his future and just focusing on Burnley’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth next Monday.
“I’ve had experience of those sort of links,” he said.
“It’s another good club, I’m respectful of all clubs. But I’m equally respectful of my situation now.”
