BUTT OUT, BREXIT SPY
Tory whip and Brexiteer Chris Heaton-Harris wants to know which lecturers are teaching students about Brexit (Mirror, Oct 25). Some of us are old enough to remember Thatcher and Reagan castigating the USSR for “brainwashing” citizens.
It’s none of his business what is taught in universities, and politicians can bleat about course content when they start showing some accountability and transparency themselves. Terry Maunder, Leeds
How on earth could anybody eat food in front of any living creature quite obviously starving and not even show a glimmer of compassion, as we saw in your article about bears outside restaurants in Armenia (Mirror, Oct 25).

Fines are increasing for easily targeted litter bugs, but I recently had a Freedom of Information request answered which showed in Liverpool only three cyclists were fined for being on pavements.
