RAIOLA: RACISM RIFE
ROMELU LUKAKU’S agent has claimed that black players have to be better than white players to succeed in football.
And Mino Raiola said his client Zlatan Ibrahimovic also had to overcome prejudice because he was an immigrant in Sweden.
The Italian super-agent (right), who also oversaw the transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United, last month joined Reds striker Lukaku’s call to stop a chant by Old Trafford fans which was deemed racist. And he said: “Black players are constantly discriminated against. It’s not enough to be as good as a white player, they must be better.
“In addition, Zlatan was in the same situation as an immigrant in Sweden – he had to prove more.
“When I give a name, for example of a Dutch player, their first question is whether it is black or white. I wonder if that matters to God?”
