Cops hunt Heston sister over court snub on ‘mum attack’
AN arrest warrant was issued for the sister of TV chef Heston Blumenthal after she failed to attend court over charges of attacking their mother.
Alexis Blumenthal, 48, was due at Oxford magistrates court accused of assaulting Celia, 76, on September 9 and October 7.
She lives in Thame, Oxon, where the October 7 assault was alleged to have taken place. The second alleged attack is said to have been in the nearby town of Watlington. Heston’s flagship Michelin star restaurant, the Fat Duck, is just across the border in Bray, Berks. The 51-year-old has said: “My parents were eccentric. Mum’s not shy in speaking her mind. My old man prefers an easy life – like me. “Dad had a leasing company but retired. Mum helped with the business and brought up me and my sister, Alexis.”
