Having walked into a couple of car dealerships recently, I’ve been put off by staff flogging finance. And when I said I’d be paying in cash, cue a PCP sales pitch. Now, with 82% of new car sales via PCP, the industry is more vulnerable to macroeconomic downturns.
Dealers are sitting on 16% more unsold stock than 2016. They need to offer great deals, not push finance.
