RAFA’S NO TO RETURN TO MERSEY

NEWCASTLE boss Rafa Benitez says he has no interest in taking over at Everton.

Ronald Koeman’s sacking this week has offered former Liverpool manager Benitez the chance of a return to his family home on Merseyside.

But the Spaniard (left) has committed himself to Newcastle, saying: “I heard people talking but I am happy here. I don’t like to talk about rumours and I am concentrating on my job. The reality is that my family is in Liverpool but Liverpool is part of my my past.

“Everton are a great club. I’m not saying I’m interested, I’m saying I’m happy here, I want to concentrate on Newcastle, and I want to do my best here.”
