CHOP IDOL
Fraser vows to cut his hero Hazard down to size
TINY Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser wants to chop idol Eden Hazard down to size – after revealing he models himself on the Chelsea ace.
Fraser, 5ft 4in, stays glued to videos of Hazard to hone his own skills and cannot wait to go up against the Belgian wizard today.
And the Scotland international said: “I always look at Hazard.
“What I like about him is he might not have an unbelievable game, or things don’t come off for him, but he keeps trying it.
“He always tries to get on the ball and he might flick it and that doesn’t come off or he’s having one of those games. Everyone has them.
“But I like how he gets on the ball and keeps trying and that is what I should be doing, keep getting the ball and not shying away from it.”
Bournemouth famously beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge two years ago in Jose Mourinho’s penultimate Premier League game in charge of the Blues. Fraser said: “Chelsea is a massive fixture. When you play against the big teams the first couple of years you do not have any expectation going into them. “When I was out on loan the lads got a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge, we beat Liverpool and drew with Arsenal. “When we play against the big teams the lads seem to raise their game. “I don’t like to say it but when you play against better players you mentally switch on a little bit more.”
