KODJIA TIPS LIFT BRUCE

BIRMINGHAM boss Steve Cotterill might regret passing tips to Steve Bruce about Jonathan Kodjia.

Cotterill brought striker Kodjia into English football two years ago from France and then sold him to Aston Villa for £15million.

Kodjia (above) has averaged a goal every two games for Villa, and when Bruce took over as Villa boss a year ago he rang Cotterill for advice on how to handle Kodjia.

“He’s got pace. He’s got goals. That’s what I signed,” revealed Cotterill.

“There was just a feeling I had that Kodjia would do well here.

“What I said to Steve seems to have helped. Kodjia’s done well.”
