SHEFFIELD WED v BARNSLEY (12.30)

Owls skipper Glenn Loovens is suspended and midfielder Sam Hutchinson has a knee problem, so Jacob Butterfiel­d could return.

Barnsley will be without defender Adam Jackson (knee), but Lloyd Isgrove could make his first appearance of the season.

CARDIFF CITY v MILLWALL

City are likely to be without striker Kenneth Zohore and midfielder Aron Gunnarsson because of ankle injuries. Keeper Lee Camp (thigh) is out for three weeks.

Steve Morison is fit to start for the Lions having returned from injury last week.

NORWICH CITY v DERBY COUNTY

Nelson Oliveira played 120 minutes against Arsenal in midweek on his return from groin trouble so may not start for City.

Johnny Russell (groin) is a doubt but Curtis Davies (right) should be fit for County. Mason Bennett (knee) is out.

PRESTON NORTH END v BRENTFORD

Striker Sean Maguire is expected to be available for Preston after hamstring trouble, but Alan Browne will serve a one-game ban.

Brentford’s Sergi Canos has recovered from an ankle injury and is pushing for a recall.

READING v MIDDLESBRO­UGH

Paul McShane and John Swift are available after hamstring trouble, but striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson (calf) misses out for Reading.

Boro have no new injury fears, with a host of players set for a recall after 10 changes in the line-up for Tuesday’s League Cup loss.

HULL v NOTTINGHAM FOREST (5.30pm)

Midfielder David Meyler returns to the Hull squad after suspension. Fraizer Campbell and Jackson Irvine are pushing for starts.

Forest will check on centre-back Armand Traore, who limped off in last week’s win against Burton Albion.

BURTON ALBION v IPSWICH TOWN

John Brayford (hamstring) is out for Albion. Lucas Akins has a similar problem and is a doubt, as is Joe Mason (back).

Tom Adeyemi (hamstring) is a major doubt for Ipswich, with Emyr Huws still sidelined with achilles trouble.

FULHAM v BOLTON WANDERERS

Fulham have an almost fully-fit squad, with only long-term absentees Sheyi Ojo (dislocated shoulder) and Lucas Piazon (broken leg) unavailabl­e.

Reece Burke (hip) is a worry for Bolton, but Will Buckley has recovered from a calf problem.

QPR v WOLVES

Defender Grant Hall (knee) is ruled out for QPR, while midfielder Jordan Cousins hopes to make his first appearance of the season following a hamstring injury.

Willy Boly may feature for Wolves after seven weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

SUNDERLAND v BRISTOL CITY

Sunderland will wait for updates on Ty Browning, Jonny Williams (both hamstring) and Marc Wilson (groin) before naming their team.

City are likely to be without Famara Diedhiou (knee). Korey Smith, Nathan Baker and Bobby Reid are fit again.

BIRMINGHAM v ASTON VILLA (NOON)

Jota could start for Blues following hamstring trouble, while Carl Jenkinson (shoulder) is out.

Henri Lansbury (knee) and Gabriel Agbonlahor (calf) look set to miss out for Villa, and left-back Neil Taylor will serve the final match of a ban.
