JAWS (1975)
You expect a few swimmers to become a great white shark’s lunch when you go to watch Jaws.
But nobody warned me fisherman Ben Gardner’s head would come bobbing through a gaping hole in the hull of his boat when it is found listing offshore.
Yes, I know the shark was only a model. And, yes, the head looked like a Madame Tussauds waxwork reject. But for an 11-year-old whose scariest moment had been the giant mutant alligators on Thunderbirds, it was a bit startling.
