PULIS MUST BAG A WIN

- BY JOHN WRAGG

WEST BROM are heading into trouble if they don’t secure a victory soon.

Three wins out of 22 league games, dating back to last season’s slump, is starting to load pressure on boss Tony Pulis.

The Baggies are eight games without a win this season and two points off the relegation places.

Pulis’ side did not give up against Manchester City, but they never looked like getting out of their losing rut.

“You want this run to end,” admitted Pulis. “We’ve gone from where we were two or three years ago in the Premier League, and continually taken if further.

“But this season we’ve picked up injuries, which we’ve never done before. We need a win to get out of it and, from there, I think we’ll be fine. “It would be nice to get all the players fit and then you can pick the team and system you want to play. “I don’t think there was a lack of confidence against Manchester City, but maybe a lack of quality at times. “There was nobody in our team you were thinking, ‘Blimey, he’s not having a go’, or ‘He’s not confident enough to step in’.” Albion are at Huddersfield on Saturday and Kieran Gibbs (left) said: “It is important to get a win just before the international break. “I haven’t sensed any feelings of getting into a relegation scrap.”
