‘We’ll pay for Monarch fail’

-

THE owner of failed airline Monarch said it has a “moral obligation” to repay taxpayers for the cost of getting passengers home.

Private equity firm Greybull Capital said it should cough up if it profits from the travel firm’s collapse.

Nearly 84,000 passengers were returned to the UK on 567 flights as Monarch went bust on October 2.

Earlier this month Transport Secretary Chris Grayling said creditors in pocket should help with costs of the operation.
